Hiring a web design company? |
|

|
Well, well, well. When it comes for an employer to hire a web design company, many questions come to mind.
First, you will wonder if the project can be delivered on time, within budget and will look as expected?
On the other side, the web site company is going to wonder if the client is going to provide all information and especially if the client is going to honor the web design company's invoice? <
So, how can you avoid problems down the road?
First, you must state at the best of your knowledge the exact nature of your project, your expectations in terms of numbers or design and finally a delivery date. You should also remember that you are, most of the time, responsible to provide content, logo and pictures. Are you ready to provide those? If not, make sure you have all material ready before you even get in touch with a company. A web design company shjould be able to assist you in developing your content in which case, you will have to pay an additional fee. But remember that the more preapred you are, the better.
What should you look at when hring a web design company? Look at their portfolio first and foremost. This is the only way for you to know if the style of the designer corresponds to your style. Too many times, you will start with a company without doing your homework! make sure you know who you are talking with, don't start if you are not comfortable with the designer. Also, never take 2 or more designers and have them competing to develop your project without telling them so. A designer is not here to work for nothing and it will be known quickly that a client is taking advantage of the industry. As you can read, there is 2 sides to a contract. You will have the best experience if you take the time to ask questions, go on the internet and search for information. |
