SEO is an important phase of the post development of a website. Once your website is up and running, you NEED to market it. Here are some results.I have been online for a little over 1 year and have made many changes to my website from re-desiging to changing technology. I have never spend a dime on marketing my website but have improved its pages, added content and submitted. I also have linked to a few specific directories and the result today is that for some of my keywords I rank on the first result page with Yahoo, MSN and ... Google. An example would be 'flash website huntersville' where I rank 2nd as per today with Google out of 62,500 results or 'website huntersville' where I rank 8th out of 423,000 results and with 'website development huntersville' I rank 1st out of 200,000 results with Google. Are those keywords relevant? I believe so as I work locally. My website does not have a large traffic but certainly has a relevant content and I do keep it that way. My linking strategy is simple: Link with what is relevant. I don't have any '1,000's' of links or even the slightest backdoor strategy. I use organic SEO with relevant keywords and a proper approach. I can't emphasize more on that. Content and proper linking strategy will prove a positive strategy. For those who want to be on the forefront immediately, the use of PPC will and is the best approach until your website is ranked well. |
